On Friday of our Family Vacation to Florida, we took Rory to Walt Disney World (more on the rest of the vacation in Part 2). Rory was beyond excited. Her favorite show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and she was excited to meet Mickey and Minnie and everyone else!
When we arrive she was in awe at the littlest things! Minnie Mouse bush, how cool is that! Just to prep you for the rest of the photos, Rory's newest thing when taking photos is to tilt her head so much that she is basically laying on her own shoulder.
The first thing we did when we walked in was we went and saw Mickey. Rory was so nervous. She didn't take her finger out of her mouth the whole time, but when we walked out she couldn't believe she had just met Mickey. "That was Mickey Mommy"
We then headed off to Tomorrow Land and stopped to take some photos of the Princess Castle!
Chip and Dale statue...
What could be better then a Mickey Pretzel!
We saw the Laugh Floor Monsters Inc show. Rory was a little antsy during it and didn't really get it. We thought it was pretty funny!
We rode the People Mover...
and the Carousel....
Rory tried to pull the sword out of the stone. She is crying because it was hot (it wasn't that hot).
Tim and Rory rode the teacups. Rory loves rides so much.
And Rory got to meet Rapunzel. Rapunzel complimented her shoes!
We did the "Its a Small World" ride. Rory thought it was the absolute coolest thing ever! She pointed and stared and just loved every moment of it.
Tim and Rory rode the Dumbo Ride.
Then we went to Pete's sideshow and met Daisy, Minnie, Goofy and Donald!
We walked by this tower ten times and didn't realize it was Rapunzel's tower till later.
Rory made it the entire day (11am to 7pm at the park) without a nap. She was such a trooper! She had so much fun and loved every moment of it!
Of course she crashed as soon as we finally got back to the car. Brand new Sir Hops A Lot in hand!
We had such a great day! The temperature was perfect, the lines weren't that bad thanks to the Fast Pass and it really wasn't that crowded overall. We happen to catch a 24 hour day that had an evening party so there were people dressed up in costumes everywhere, it made for great people watching. I think the only thing we would do different is to have Rory see Mickey later in the experience so that she wasn't so nervous. She really thought it was awesome to be meeting them!
I know she probably won't remember any of this but it was really awesome watching her see Disney for the first time!
More to come on the rest of the trip later!
